New Cheaper Outdoor units

In an effort to make wireless neighborhood networking more affordable a new outdoor router is now available.
It comes fully assembled, and it should also be easier to setup and install.
The cost per unit is TT$650.00
It is not as versatile as the TT$1100 AirWolf routers but it should be more than enough for most common situations.

Microsoft to "Step Up PC Gaming"

Thanks

Just want to express a thank you to the team.

slingshotspot3 problems rectified.

Recent problems connecting to slingshotspot3 have been solved.
The password prompt has also been removed as this was causing some confusion, and the portal page has been customized.
Further upgrades are planned, but will depend greatly on cooperation from the community.

La Horquetta Network Update

After two weeks of mixed weather the tower was lowered to add some Cat5 cable and rewind the steel cable on the winch. The two test routers performed well and have proven they can stand up to the elements.
One of those routers will be a public access point, and the other will be a mesh node.

La Horquetta Node test

Finished installing the tower during the week of Trinidad Carnival and started testing this weekend.
Two routers were installed on the tower to see how it handled the load. Then came time to power up.
The Airwolf router's performance was excellent. The first site survey showed six or seven networks in range.
